Introduction
At Switch Store (YURI DIGITAL (PRIVATE) LIMITED), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our services.
By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
This website is owned and operated by YURI DIGITAL (PRIVATE) LIMITED.
Information We Collect
Personal Information
We may collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, shipping address, and payment information when you:
- Create an account
- Place an order
- Contact our customer service or submit a trade-in estimate for follow-up
- Subscribe to our newsletter
Usage Information
We automatically collect certain information about your device and how you interact with our website, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, and browsing behavior.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your browsing experience and provide personalized content and advertisements.
Trade-In Enquiry Data
When you choose to save a trade-in estimate, we collect your first name, WhatsApp number, reported device condition, selected upgrade, estimated values, and any campaign tags attached to that request. The estimator remains available without providing contact details.
We use saved trade-in details only to respond to that enquiry, arrange an inspection, confirm a valuation, and connect an accepted trade-in to a purchase. We do not use the submitted number for promotional messages unless you separately opt in through another process.
Authorised staff and the service providers needed to host the storefront, database, administration system, and transactional notifications may process this information. Contact details for inactive or lost trade-in enquiries are removed after 12 months; non-identifying estimate and outcome totals may be retained for business reporting.
Lay-By Plan and Payment Data
When you start a Lay-By online, we process your contact details, selected product and variant, locked price, payment schedule, payment references, amounts, and verified payment statuses. Paynow processes the EcoCash payment request; Switch Store does not receive or store your EcoCash PIN.
We use this information to administer the plan, reserve the selected device, reconcile installments, provide a private tracking page, complete the purchase, and meet accounting and legal record-keeping duties.
Types of Cookies We Use
Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the website to function properly. They enable basic functions like page navigation and access to secure areas of the website.
Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting and reporting information anonymously.
Personalization Cookies
These cookies allow the website to remember choices you make and provide enhanced, more personal features.
Advertising Cookies
When you accept optional cookies, Meta Pixel and Meta’s Conversions API help us measure advertising performance. Purchase events may include order value, product identifiers, browser matching cookies, and hashed contact details. The browser and server copies share an event ID so Meta can avoid counting the same purchase twice.

Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Warranty and Device-Custody Data
For a warranty or repair claim we process customer contact details, claim and purchase evidence, device model and serial/IMEI, customer-reported issues, requested remedy, staff assessment, decisions, custody records, and, where needed, private device-condition photographs or documents.
We use this information to perform the customer contract, comply with consumer-protection and record-keeping duties, protect devices in our custody, establish or respond to legal claims, prevent abuse, and communicate claim status. We never ask for an Apple ID password and do not persist device passcodes.
Processors and International Transfers
Relevant processors include Vercel for storefront hosting, Railway for backend hosting, private encrypted S3-compatible storage for custody media, Resend for transactional email, Paynow for supported payments, and Google only where the customer permits analytics or related services.
Some processors or infrastructure may store or access data outside Zimbabwe. We limit transfers to service delivery, require appropriate contractual and security safeguards, restrict access, and assess the destination and processor before use.
Warranty Retention and Security
Core claim and audit records are retained for three years after closure unless a dispute, legal hold, or longer legal duty applies. Claim-access sessions expire after 30 minutes and are deleted after expiry. Custody media is scheduled for deletion 90 days after closure unless a hold applies.
Controls include least-privilege staff access, authenticated administration, encrypted transport and storage, private signed media access, file type and size validation, audit history, rate limiting, security monitoring, backups, retention jobs, and incident response. If a breach creates a relevant risk, we investigate, contain, document, and notify affected people and the competent authority where the law requires.
Data Protection Contact
Contact privacy@switchstore.shop to request access, correction, deletion where applicable, restriction, an objection, or information about a transfer or breach. Identity verification may be required before disclosing customer data.
